Acknowledgement of Country
We gather on land on which Dhurga and Dharawal peoples have lived and been custodians for at least 20,000 years. Kangaroo Valley was a place of meeting and hunting through which many First Nations peoples travelled from the Highlands, Illawarra and Shoalhaven following the dreaming tracks. We acknowledge them as the traditional owners and custodians of this land, never ceded, always was, always will be Aboriginal land. We thank them for helping us appreciate the connection to land, culture and community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We are privileged to gather on this Country to share art and culture.
